LIDAR: Extracting vegetation mask from .las data

Task: using the available .las file perform extraction of the vegetation mask as a raster using eCognition software package

Solution: in order to perform this task following sub-tasks were done. 

  1. Converting LiDAR data to raster datasets;
  2. Filling in noData values;
  3. Preforming extraction of trees.

HYPERSPECTRAL IMAGERY: Atmospheric correction

The atmospheric correction for radiance image was done using following three methods:

  • Empirical Line Correction;
  • Flat Field Correction;
  • Internal Average Relative Reflectance.
