The research is based on Divvy (bicycle sharing system) data from 2014. When I explored the data, we noticed that depending on the time (month, week, days of week) system usage was changed noticeably. As well I was surprised by the fact that Divvy only has two types of subscriptions:
The aim of our study was to determine how the behavior of cyclists changed depending on the time period (month, weeks, days of weeks), also determine whether there is a need for additional types of subscriptions.
Based on the analyze which I made, I came to the conclusion that for the convenience of Chicago residents and their guests would be better to introduce weekly tickets or 72-hours ticket. For example, ticket for weekend, in our opinion would be more valuable.
