Final project: Developing a web-app using geoprocessing services

This project was focusing on the development of a web-app for searching suitable accommodation place based on user preferences using geoprocessing services. The required data was collected from the Open Street Map platform. The collected data were tested in the model created by Model Builder and published as geoprocessing service. The result was an user-friendly application where user can choose positive or negative values for the given layers and start analysis by clicking one button. 

The overall objective of this project was to publish geoprocessing service and develop interactive web application for searching suitable accommodation place based on user preferences.

Successfully done: 

  • acquiring data and uploading to database to the server (zgis227.geo.sbg.ac.at);
  • creating model in Model Builder;
  • 'influence' parameters could be enabled by user (Using 'Calculate value' tool);
  • publishing as geoprocessing service on ArcGIS Server;
  • testing geoprocessing service in WebApp Builder;
  • constructing web-application with ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
